Boy Scout Troop 715 celebrated the completion of their latest Eagle Scout Project. The project, led by Boy Scout Nicholas Koutelos, was to beautify the exterior of the Maimonides Cancer Center building, 4802 10th Avenue.

Under Koutelos’ leadership, the troop painted the parking lot fence, added pavers to the walkway, and set up new planters with plants and park benches. The completed project added an aesthetic look to the outside of the building and created a beautiful place for the center’s patients to wait before and after treatment.

Councilman Vincent Gentile, fourth from left, back row, and Senator Martin Golden, fourth from right, back row, were on hand to congratulate Koutelos and his troop.

Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). One of the requirements for earning this rank is an extensive service project that the Scout plans, organizes, leads, and manages.
