Special honor for Eileen LaRuffa
State Senator Marty Golden honored community activist Eileen LaRuffa (pictured) “for her outstanding work on behalf of our community,” with special recognition from the State Senate as a 2009 New York “Woman of Distinction.” Golden presented the award in his district office.
LaRuffa is currently public relations director for St. Finbar Church and previously served as the secretary and recording secretary for the Home School association and the Marian Rosary Society. An original member of the Bensonhurst Volunteer Ambulance Service, LaRuffa also serves as a member of Community Board 11.
