ASTORIA — An Astoria man was arrested on suspicion of burglary after being caught with a stolen GPS navigation unit, the Queens district attorney’s office said.

On Jan. 25 around 1:45 a.m. William Sutlovich, 53, was spotted by a witness leaning inside the broken driver’s-side window of a parked Lincoln Town Car on 21st Street near 27th Avenue, the DA said. Two vehicles behind the Town Car also had broken windows, the DA’s office said.

Police apprehended Sutlovich nearby and found he was carrying a cell phone and GPS unit taken from one of the cars, the DA said.

Sutlovich was charged with possession of stolen property and possession of burglar’s tools. He was arraigned Jan. 25 and held in lieu of $2,500 bail.
